Fly into Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The canyon is roughly 30 minutes south on I-215 and SR-210. UTA ski buses run directly to both resorts.
Snowbird and Alta both offer slopeside lodging. For more options, stay in Salt Lake City or Sandy and ride the canyon bus.
Book early — both resorts offer combined Alta-Snowbird tickets for the full 4,700+ acre experience. Ikon and Powder Alliance passes have limited days.
Mid-December through April for both resorts. Snowbird often stays open through May or June. January and February bring the heaviest snowfall.
